Greenwood Plants supports award-winning garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair
Greenwood Plants was pleased to support Dakic Garden Design by donating plants via their Greenwood Community scheme, for their show garden at this year’s BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, which took place in May.
Themed around Alice in Wonderland, the garden was created to mark the 160th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s famous book. It captured the imagination of both judges and visitors, winning three major awards at the event: the Platinum BBC Award, Best in Category, and the Public Choice Award. Dakic Garden Design used a wide range of donated plants from Greenwood to bring the story to life.
The garden featured creative planting and design elements that paid tribute to the beloved characters and whimsical atmosphere of the classic tale. Following the show, all plants used in the garden were sold to visitors, with the proceeds donated to the Snowdrop Trust, a West Sussex charity that supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families through nursing care at home. Jonathan Dakic, one of the designers of the garden, said “Thank you to Greenwood for all the help that you’ve provided with the plants, sourcing and providing for the show.”
