Plant Nursery Crop Maintenance Sprayer

Job role:

The role will see commitment and skill in the application of Herbicides, Pesticides and Crop Spraying and ideally (not necessarily) have either a PA1/ PA2/ PA4S/ PA6 certification. Nurturing and protecting crops with the correct chemicals, water, and fertilizer applications.

Key responsibilities:

· Day-to-day responsibility of spraying crops on the site

· Follow all H&S procedures for crop spraying

· Mix, load, and apply pesticides onto fields in accordance with label required rates and procedures with support of experience for either PA1/PA2/PA4S/PA6 certifications

· Maintain and repair all necessary application equipment

· Calibrate sprayers and chemical application equipment

· Proactively identify crop issues in the field while spraying and communicate observations to line managers

· Safely operate agricultural equipment and vehicles

· Maintain work area, chemical storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes good safety practices

Requisites:

· Attention to detail

· Time management

· Working on initiative

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Ideally have either a PA1/ PA2/ PA4S/ PA6 certification

· Compliance with H&S regulations

· Excellent communication
